How We Work
Introducing Physical Edge & Rhys Chong
Knee Post-Op
In daily life, our knees are subjected to constant biomechanical (movement) loading and impact forces – even more so when we participate in sport and other physical activities. Such is the strain that we put on our knees, that research indicates that in our life time, at least 25% of us will have pain in a knee joint.
Spine Post-Op
Spinal pain is the most common injury seen in clinical practice and the leading cause of work related absence. Research shows that in 2013 over 15 million sick days in the UK were attributed to spinal pain and 3.4 million people (15% of the population) were forced to take more than a month off work due to back related symptoms.
Shoulder Post-Op
The shoulder girdle is made up of several articulating joints, which are connected and influence each other’s motion. These joints work in synchrony to allow the many complex movements the shoulder can perform – not surprisingly the shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body.
Hip Post-Op
The hip joint is often forgotten in the assessment of spinal and knee pain. However, it is a very important joint for fluid motion of the body and major hip injuries can lead to total hip joint replacement later in life. Today total hip joint replacements have excellent results, and can facilitate a return to sport and other activities.
